Theme: Write a theme paragraph

Using your definition, please write a theme statement for the stories across genres and then back up your theme with examples.

To create a theme statement:

1. Brainstorm issues raised in the book. (Use Smart Ideas –A concept-mapping software)
2. Create a statement that tells what the author is trying to say about that issue in general.

Paragraph

Introduction (Have the names of the stories, the type of genre and the authors, plus the theme statement)

1^st Example (This should be a specific example from the first story that proves your theme)

Explainer Sentence (This sentence should explain HOW your example proves your theme statement)

2^nd Example (This should be a specific example from the second story that proves your theme)

3^rd Example (This should be a specific example from the second story that proves your theme)

Conclusion sentence (A sentence that sums up everything in your paragraph)

Note: There is no length on this paragraph but the paragraph example above is a minimum in order to be clear to your audience. (You may want to turn this into an essay)
